If you decide you want something drawn, drop me an e-mail saying what it is you want and your name, and I shall add you to the list. When you reach the top, I contact you with a price quote and ask you if you still want the pic. We work out payment. Etc, etc.
Timeframe: Depends entirely on how busy I am.
Payment: If you're not commissioning me at a Con, you'll likely need to arrange for something other than cash, which can get lost in the mail, eaten by angry pigeons, etc. Paypal, money orders, and personal checks are all fine. Generally, I liked to go with the half up front, half when finished policy.
Shipping: If you're not getting a CG picture done, you'll likely want the original either shipped to you or scanned and given to you digitally. In the former case, various shipping options are available, but probably the best option in terms of speed vs. affordability would be Priority Mail. Unfortunately, I can't be responsible for the damage the postal service might visit upon your mail, so I'd advise the postally-unlucky to try the digital option. Depending on where you are and what kind of service you want, I might charge you for postage.
Digital Copy: Sent to you via method of your choice, within reason. This is instead of getting your stuff mailed to you; you don't get both unless something horrible happens and your stuff gets lost. I like this method better because I don't have to go to the post office, but it's your choice.
Cancellation: If you are an art shark and plan on cancelling and demanding your money back after I've already started on your picture in hopes of getting something for nothing, don't bother requesting anything in the first place. Basically, if you cancel before I even start, you don't pay anything. After I start, though, anything you give me, I keep, so if you're planning on cancelling, right after I'm done the sketch would be the best time to do it.
Acceptable Material: I don't think I'll have to refuse any requests, but if drawing your picture somehow lowers the whole of humanity, you'll have to find someone else.
Pricing: Here are my at-con prices. Generally, I charge $20 or more for my CG pictures, which are full-view, full-color and inked with a simple background. The reason they're the most expensive is because they take me the most time. However, if you're not at a con and you'd still like to pay under $20, please e-mail me about a non-CG picture, and I'll get back to you with an estimate :3.
| B/W | Color | |
| Portrait | $3 | $5 |
| Full | $8 | $10 |
For at-con pics, I generally color with either colored pencils or marker. Also, extra elements, like a complicated weapon, an extra person, or a background are $2 extra each.
